# Managing Payment Methods

**Learn how to easily enable or disable payment methods like ACH, Credit Cards, and Pay-in-Installments.**

***

Alternative offers your customers three ways to pay you by default;

* ACH
* Credit Card
* Pay-in-Installments

In some cases, you may not want to offer one or more of these payment methods. The following steps will guide you through the process of disabling or enabling a previously disabled payment method.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Log into your [Alternative Payments dashboard](https://app.alternativepayments.io/)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Navigate to the [Team Preferences](https://app.alternativepayments.io/dashboard/team/preferences) on the left-hand side
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click on [Preferences](https://app.alternativepayments.io/dashboard/team/preferences)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In the [Payments](https://app.alternativepayments.io/dashboard/team/preferences?pageTab=payments) tab, under the Payment methods section, you can easily toggle ACH, Credit Cards, and Pay-in-Installments on or off.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

No need to save. As soon as you change one of the toggles your preferences will automatically save for you.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.alternativepayments.io/payments-and-invoicing/payments-methods/managing-payment-methods.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
