Our best practices for sharing your billing link with customers.
Below are the 3 most common ways to incorporate your billing link into your existing invoice process.
Option 1: Send through Alternative (Recommended)
Create your invoice in the Alternative platform and create automatic email reminders. They will receive an email letting them know they have a new invoice waiting for them based on the criteria set. Our recommendation is to set reminders before the due date, on the due date, and after the due date.
If you have a PSA or accounting software integration with HaloPSA, Quickbooks Online or Connectwise, we now import the itemized invoices so you can easily send automatic email reminders through Alternative for a seamless experience.
Option 2: Add your billing link to existing process
Add your billing link to the memo field of your invoice and the email template you use to send the invoices (don't forget to add it to your reminder email!). Remember to remove or disable existing payment options to ensure they're using your billing link for payments.
Option 3: Add it to your website Pay button
Give your customers easy access to their billing link by adding it to the Pay button on your website to ensure they can make payments quickly & efficiently.
