We’re here to ensure you and your customers have a seamless transition to Alternative Payments.
We know transitioning from one online payments platform to another is a super important process to undertake for any business. Alternative Payments is here to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for the best payment experience for both you and your customers.
We’ve put together our five best practices that will guarantee your success on our platform:
1 | Remove reminders from previous platform: If your previous online platform provided the functionality to configure automatic email reminders, make sure to deactivate these when you’re ready to send out your first invoices from Alternative Payments.
2 | Turn off auto-pay rules: Ensure you are disabling any automatic payment configurations from your previous platform before you switch over to Alternative Payments.
Once you are ready, you can configure automatic payments for your customers from your partner dashboard or your customers can enroll into automatic payments straight from their payment portal.
3 | Add billing link in invoice memo field: For extra visibility on your new Alternative Payments billing link, we recommend adding it to your invoice memo field to keep it top of mind for your customers.

4 | Send email communication: As part of our onboarding process, we provide you with an email template to notify your customers about your new payment process. You’ll want to make sure you send this out about two weeks before your intended go-live date. Alternatively, you can let customers know that the update will be effective immediately.
5 | Enable automatic email reminders: Once you’re ready, enable automatic email reminders to let customers know about upcoming invoices.
Our step-by-step guide will walk you through configuring these reminders to ensure customers pay invoices on time while also saving you the time and effort from sending manual reminders.
