# Create Email Audiences

Here’s how you can target reminders to specific audiences only to ensure your messages stay relevant and your customers receive the right communication at the right time.

You can now target reminder emails to specific audiences for more relevant communication. Send reminders only to customers with past-due invoices, create separate cadences for recurring or high-value clients, and exclude those you manage manually. Use customer tags to group customers by payment habits, industries, or billing frequency to keep reminders focused and effective.

1. Create your [email summary or reminder](https://help.alternativepayments.io/automations/email-notifications-and-reminders/automatic-email-notifications).
2. Toggle off "Send to all customers."
3. Select to send by [tag](https://help.alternativepayments.io/payments-and-invoicing/managing-customers/create-customer-tags) or customers to select the specific customers to send this notification to.
