# Payouts

**The Payouts tab is where you manage the bank account your customer payments are deposited into and how quickly those payouts arrive.**

***

### Where to find Payouts & Billing

From the sidebar of your Partner Dashboard, go to **Team preferences** then **Payouts & billing**.

The page is split into two tabs:

* **Payouts** — the bank account your customer payments are deposited into, and your payout timing.
* **Billing** — the payment method Alternative Payments uses to bill you, plus your subscription and collections activity.

***

### Payout Account

Any payments received from your customers are sent to the account selected here. The card shows the account type, your bank, and the last four digits of the account.

### Adding a new bank account

1. Open the Payouts tab

Go to **Team preferences** > **Payouts & billing.**

2. Add the new bank account

Select **Add new bank account** and enter your bank account information.

3. Set the new account as default
4. Save.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** A newly added bank account goes through a verification review before it can be used for payouts. While the review is in progress the account shows a pending status, and you may be asked to upload a recent bank statement for it.
{% endhint %}

### Payout Timing

This card shows the payout tier on your account and whether a fee applies.

* **Payout timing** — how many business days after a payment is processed the funds reach your bank account. Standard payouts are 3 business days for both ACH and credit card.
* **Applied fee** — whether the fee for your payout timing is included in your subscription or billed separately.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.alternativepayments.io/preferences/payouts-and-billing/payouts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
