Slash Commands

Type / in the Alti message box to run a command instead of asking a question.

Most of the time you talk to Alti in plain English. A slash command is a shortcut for a specific job.

1

Open the commands menu

In an empty Alti message box, type /, or click the / button under the message box. A menu shows the commands you can use.

2

Pick a command

Click one, or keep typing to narrow the list and press Enter.

3

Send it

The command has to be the whole message. If you type it in the middle of a sentence, Alti reads it as ordinary text.

Don't see the / menu? Slash commands roll out to eligible accounts and depend on your access level. Check with your account admin, or contact our team.

Slash commands and @

The @ and / menus do different jobs:

  • @ adds context to your question, such as a specific invoice, a customer, or an agent. See Adding Context with @.

  • / runs a command on the chat you are in.
