Custom Dashboards

Describe the view you want, and Alti builds the dashboard. No picking chart types or hunting for the right metric.

Tell Alti what you want to keep an eye on. It proposes the KPIs, you pick the ones that matter, and the charts are laid out in seconds. Your whole team sees the same board.

Open My Dashboards

Build a dashboard

1

Open My Dashboards

In the left sidebar, click Analytics, then My Dashboards.

2

Start a new dashboard

Click New dashboard.

3

Describe what you want to see

Type a request, for example "collections performance by quarter, with dispute trends," or click a suggestion. Alti replies with the KPIs it proposes.

4

Pick your KPIs and build

Tick the KPIs you want and click Build dashboard. If none fit, click I want different KPIs. When Alti finishes, click View dashboard.

5

Optional: Rearrange it

Click Customize to drag, resize, add, or delete cards, then click Save.

Alti always proposes first. Even if your message names every KPI, Alti shows you the list before it builds anything. Nothing is created until you click Build dashboard.

Prefer to start from scratch? Click New dashboard, then Blank canvas. You get an empty dashboard that opens ready to edit.

Change a dashboard

Name the dashboard and say what you want:

  • "Add net margin to Cash overview."

  • "Remove utilization from my Ops board."

  • "Rename Cash overview to Monthly cash."

  • "What's on my Collections dashboard?"

Alti reads the dashboard as it is right now, so its answer includes changes a colleague made since you last looked. If a colleague edits the dashboard while Alti is updating it, Alti tells you and offers to try again.

Click Customize to open edit mode. From there you can:

  • Search the Available KPIs panel and drag a KPI onto the dashboard

  • Drag cards to reorder them, or remove a card

  • Click Create a chart with Alti to describe a new chart instead of searching for it

Click Save to keep your changes, or Cancel to throw them away.

When a KPI has no data or no comparison

Some KPIs need a connected system. A KPI such as utilization needs data from your PSA. If you ask for a KPI your account has no data for yet, Alti tells you before adding it. You can still add it, and the card shows an empty state until the data arrives.

Peer comparisons are only on some KPIs. Comparisons are available on certain KPIs, and only on plans that include benchmarking. Alti only offers a comparison where one exists. If you ask why a KPI has no comparison, Alti tells you the reason.

How the numbers work

Why doesn't MRR add up across the date range?

MRR shows the latest month's level. It is not a total or an average across the date range you pick.

How are margins and ratios calculated over a date range?

They are weighted across the whole date range. They are not a simple average of each month's figure.

For how MRR and margin are calculated from your PSA data, see the Analytics FAQs.

Good to know

  • One board for the team. Everyone on your team sees the same dashboard.

  • Suggestions match your plan. The starting points Alti offers depend on what your plan includes. Every partner can build dashboards from their Alternative Payments payments data. With Analytics, you also get KPIs from your PSA and accounting system.

  • Deleting is permanent and removes the board for everyone. Alti names the dashboard and asks you to confirm first. To change a board, edit it rather than deleting and rebuilding it, so saved links to it keep working.

  • Names can be up to 32 characters.
